Roughly one year ago a devastating event known as the Cataclysm ravaged the distant region Faero, leaving hundreds dead and many more missing. In the aftermath of the chaos, half-human, half-Pokémon creatures rose from the shadows and attacked what little remained of civilization.

Now the technological marvel Millennium City stands proudly once more, and humans have returned to Faero, hidden safely behind the thick walls that shelter the city from the savage lands outside. The feral Pokémorphs still lurk out there, biding their time.

Will you venture out of the city and into uncharted territories to make a name for yourself as a Pokémorph trainer?

 Snowlands

Located at the very southern end of Faero is the Snowlands, a region where an unnatural snowstorm has been raging ever since the Cataclysm. What was once lush jungle and fertile fields has been transformed into snow and ice. It is mostly flat and hardly that interesting to look at, though this lack of varying elevation makes traveling through the area all the more difficult; the Snowlands seem to go on forever. With wind and snow whipping in one's face, it's tough to navigate, and Pokémorphs lurk under the cover of snow or hiding in underground and morph-made caves, biding their time and waiting for prey.

In the northern end of the Snowlands, a part of the jungle still stands, frozen over and permanently covered in ice. Those who have seen it claim it looks almost as if the entire forest was crafted out of crystal. Though it is beautiful, it is just as barren and dangerous as the rest of the area.

Points of Interest

Articuno Statue
A rather peculiar statue formed out of ice is located somewhere in the in the southern end of the Snowlands. Those who have seem it claim that it looks like the legendary bird Articuno, perched on a rock. Who crafted it remains unknown, but rumour has it that the real legendary bird Articuno protects it.

Ruins of Aion Harbour
What was once a lush field and the perfect place to set up a second harbour is now covered in permanent snow. The harbour itself lies in ruins, destroyed by the endless torrent of snow and hail. Shipwrecks are still visible, frozen in the thick layer of ice that has overtaken the sea around the Snowlands. Some of the buildings that were once proud and new are still mostly intact, and anyone who has managed to make it this far can perhaps hope to take cover in them, though some Pokémorphs may be doing the same thing.

Ice Burrows
Even the Pokémorphs in the area need to take cover from the snowstorms some of the time, and so many holes have been dug, leading to underground burrows that provide shelter from the storms and the cold. A truly desperate trainer with powerful Pokémorphs under his belt could probably fight for control of a burrow and spend a night in one, but only the strongest trainers should attempt this; Pokémorphs are, after all, incredibly territorial.
